As the Head of Development Performance & Insight, you will lead and enable the Development & Sales directorate to achieve a high-performing team culture. Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, you will work closely with development colleagues and Development Finance to set the vision for departmental targets, team targets, and individual goals. Your focus will be on using data, insight, and process review to drive continuous improvement and better-informed decision-making.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading the team to deliver continuous improvement within the department, using data and analysis to understand baseline performance levels and identify areas for development.
- Helping the Development Leadership Team set the vision for departmental, team, and individual targets.
- Working with internal departments and external stakeholders to gather and utilise data and information for better decision-making and providing meaningful insights to clients and stakeholders.
- Using data, insight, and process review to support the Development & Sales directorate in achieving a high-performing team culture.
- Providing additional support, guidance, procedures, or insight to enhance performance and achieve departmental goals.
- Engaging with senior management about performance insight and linked change programmes.
- Developing professional relationships with external and internal clients to support the delivery of an affordable housing programme.
- Negotiating and delivering affordable housing programmes while responding to the statutory requirements of the development process.
About You
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification or experience).
- Prince 2 or APM qualification preferable.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the social housing sector in a development environment.
- Proven experience in leading and managing people.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented approach with colleagues and partners.
- Experience engaging with senior management regarding performance insight and linked change programmes.
- Strong experience in managing internal and external relationships.
- Experience developing professional relationships with external and internal clients.
- Proven experience in negotiating and delivering affordable housing programmes.
- Knowledge of Homes England/GLA priorities and the requirements of the Regulator for Social Housing.
