Restart, part of the Weston College Group, has secured a long-term education contract at HMP Five Wells, located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire and we are seeking to recruit an outstanding and highly motivated Head of Education.
Reporting to the Contracts and Business Development Director, the Head of Education will be responsible for managing successful delivery of the planned curriculum and all contract requirements at HMP Five Wells. This will involve the mobilisation, recruitment, and management of a new team of teaching and administrative staff, ensuring the continued development of the quality of teaching, learning and assessment and successfully maintaining a range of partnerships within a custodial setting.
Whilst your place of work will be HMP Five Wells, this role may require you to travel to the Restart Head Office in Weston-super-Mare for meetings, or elsewhere regionally as directed.

About HMP Five Wells
In partnership with G4S, RESTART (part of the Weston College Group) has been awarded the prestigious contract to establish the education department in the newly built state-of-the-art prison, HMP Five Wells. RESTART provides exceptional opportunities for residents to gain nationally recognised qualifications, in preparation for securing purposeful employment upon release.
HMP Five Wells is a privately run category C men's prison located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. At full capacity the prison can house 1,680 residents, making it one of the largest prisons in the UK.
The education department offers a range of Academic, Vocational and Creative courses to support residents with their future career aspirations.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS and obtain the appropriate prison clearance before starting the role.
