Superb Head of Finance opportunity! £60k-£65k, Greenwich, Head of Finance.
Ribbons & Reeves are delighted to have partnered with an ambitious Greenwich-based Academy Trust who are looking for their next Head of Finance. The Head of Finance reports to the CFO and manages the Trusts central finance team responsible for providing financial and accounting services across the Trust as well as supporting the CFO in the strategic development of the Trust.
It is essential that the Head of Finance and other senior leaders work in close co-operation and harmony to achieve the strategic direction and policy objectives of the Board of Trustees. To this end the Head of Finance will work closely with the CFO to advise on the financial implications of all policy decisions, including educational ones.
Head of Finance Duties Include:

• Keeping the accounts of the Trust and assisting in the preparation of the Annual Statement of Accounts and supporting audit papers.
• Safeguarding the Trust’s assets and providing accurate and timely financial information to support the overall business viability of the Trust and robust decision making.
• Ensuring compliance to all financial legal and legislative requirements and conditions of funding.
• Manage the Central Finance Team to efficiently deliver day to day finance functions including sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll.
• Development of the Trusts financial systems, to maximise functionality and ensure the systems support the most efficient and effective working practices. Review and develop working practices to ensure they have capacity to expand with the Trust.

Head of Finance requirements:

• Degree level qualification & ACCA qualification (or similar).
• Extensive experience in a financial management role.
• Expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and financial analysis.
• Conversant with relevant financial, personnel and safety regulations.
• Courage to make decisions with a forward-thinking mindset.
