SalaryHW People are supporting a SME Derby based business who are looking to appoint a Head of Finance to join and lead their Finance team. The role will suit a motivated and hands-on qualified accountant, who is keen to be involved in high level decision making, is commercially astute and ready to join a fast-paced organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the services delivered by the finance team, and to ensure appropriate, efficient and effective financial systems and controls are in place within the department in order to minimise risk
- Management of a small team
- Produce budgets, forecasts and monthly financial reporting
- Cash flow management
- Support the senior management team in the analysis of ad-hoc and monthly results.
- Liaise with external auditors to sign off the annul accounts
Who we are looking for:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong analytical skills and technical knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and data manipulation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with all departments and have the confidence to challenge
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy
Hybrid working - 2/3 days in the office
Salary up to £80,000 + wider benefits
