Description
The Financial Controller (Head of Finance) will play a key role in the running of the business, and reporting of financials to the Parent, local MD and PE investors.
You will be responsible for managing the finance department, delivering accurate and timely results, and ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations.
You knowledge and insight will play a key role in providing strategic financial guidance to the leadership team and driving the financial position forward.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Financial Planning and Analysis - Developing and implementing strategies, plans and budgets which are in line with the goals of the business
- Undertaking financial analysis, forecasting and modelling to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement
- Monitoring and analysing performance, variances and risks.
- Preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash-flow statements
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory rules, regulations and reporting requirements.
- Oversight of the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Leading the budgeting and forecasting process, working with key personnel to create achievable and realistic goals.

Profile
The ideal candidate for this Financial Controller (Head of Finance) position will meet the following requirements:
- Qualified Accountant with significant relevant experience
- Ability to operate in a fast moving organisation with varying reporting requirements which may overlap
- Strong knowledge of accountancy principles, regulations and standards
- Ideally you will have experience within a similar environment - Engineering, Construction, Work in Progress, % completion etc
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to develop staff and manage upwards.
Job Offer
Base salary of £75-85,000 + benefits
