We're looking now for a head of Finance Analytics and Strategy to lead a new team in our refreshed finance directorate. You'll be responsible for leading and delivering reporting, business intelligence, and financial strategy tools, harnessing the power of data to provide actionable insights, effectively influencing operational activities and shaping our business-wide decision-making processes.

This is one of several new leadership roles created to transform how our finance function works so that teams are set up in the best way to support operational colleagues to deliver the outcomes that matter most to residents - our most important customers - and have the right tools to do their jobs well.

The ideal candidate

As a senior member of the finance team, you'll drive a culture of customer-centricity and continuous improvement, ensuring all finance services deliver the best outcomes for our residents.

You'll be a capable strategic thinker, with the ability to analyse complex data, review alternative solutions, and reach speedy, well-informed decisions as well as a confident and experienced role model and leader, reflecting our organisational values.

In addition, you'll be an excellent communicator and influencer, able to manage complex dynamics at all levels of our organisation and with external stakeholders.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who genuinely puts customers first, has a passion for our vision and mission and makes our values visible every working day.

In addition, you'll need:

• Good knowledge around data and analytics that optimise performance and deliver value
• Excellent knowledge of Power BI and other analytics or data tools and technologies, preferably Microsoft
• A good understanding of data architecture so that you can engage with technical staff and data architectures or experts
• Mastery of storytelling through data Analytics and evidence of influencing operational activities
• Familiarity with analytics solutions and their applications in improving financial management and strategic planning
• Ideally, a CCAB recognised accounting qualification highly desirable and a degree in a relevant field such as business analytics, data science or statistics
