SalaryI am excited to be working with an amazing West Sussex based support charity in search of an interim Chief Finance Officer, this is a full-time hybrid role. As Chief Finance Officer you will be responsible for all aspects of financial management and financial compliance within the organisation, including VAT, ensuring that both the organisation’s capital and resources are used in a beneficial manner, allowing the organisation to deliver its mission.
Additionally, you will be responsible for the timely completion and distribution of the monthly management accounts, working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Leadership team to ensure financial security and stability for the organisation.
As Chief Finance Officer your duties will include the compilation of financial performance reports and projections for the quarterly Trustee meetings, working closely with the Treasurer.
Main duties:
Line management of the Finance Officer.
Responsible for the overall and day-to-day management of the finance systems including all elements of financial administration, data input and cashflow management.
Management of the signatories of all bank accounts; manage the relationship with the NatWest business banking team and to manage the organisational credit cards.
To advise and manage the organisation’s investment portfolio.
To manage all VAT matters, understanding exemptions and partial exemptions.
To deliver management accounts to all budget holders by working day ten of each month.
To manage the year end and audit process and liaise with the auditors over the production of the statutory accounts.
To manage the annual budget process.
To support budget holders in all aspects of financial management and to assist them with the budgeting of new or additional workstreams.
Responsible for the procurement of organisational insurances, working to achieve best value. To prepare the monthly payroll return.
Preparation of costings for projects, contracts and funding applications.
