SalaryBettingJobs are working with rapidly growing retail gaming and betting business, their operation is London based. They are searching for a Head of Finance to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting for all group companies using Xero and manage various information systems.
- Handle full accounts payable, monthly management accounts, and budgeting/cash flow forecasting.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis, decision support, and cost-saving measures.
- Prepare and manage yearly audits, ensuring compliance and handling Machine Games Duty and VAT returns.
- Liaise with authorities (HMRC, UK Gambling Commission) and advisors as needed.
- Collaborate with senior team members, report to the CEO, and supervise one internal financial auditor.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial controller role or higher, with a total of 5 years in financial functions.
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
- Experience in retail or retail gambling environments is advantageous.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., Xero).
- Excellent analytical abilities and communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of compliance and risk management.
- Capability to adapt and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and able to meet tight deadlines independently.
