Head of Financial Planning Analysis

A market leading PE back SaaS business are looking for a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead the function for the business and report directly to the Group CFO. As a key member of the senior finance team you will be responsible for leading budgeting, forecasting and the 5 Year Plan. Responsibilities to include:

• Lead FP&A activities including performance management and variance analysis, consolidation of key performance drivers, plus risks and opportunities
• Manage and develop team of 5 Financial Analysts – setting appropriate and challenging objectives, with regular appraisal and tracking of performance objectives
• Manage the month-end reporting process, providing challenge and rigor to the numbers, and analysis of the business financial performance versus latest forecasts
• Production, analysis and commentary for all reporting as required by the management team
• Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting and reporting practices, month end close and forecast processes
• Ensure process improvement to increase efficiency and improve the quality and timeliness of group reporting processes, including opportunities to enhance, expand and implement key financial systems
• Plan, manage and run the quarterly forecasts, annual budget and annual long-term strategic process
• Review, enhance and implement, reporting processes and key controls across the business, to ensure great understanding of risk and to enhance reliance on internal controls

Candidate required:

• Full professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACCA or Equivalent)
• Proven experience of leading a FP&A team
• Strong commercial and operational financial management experience
• Demonstrable analytical skills and ability to interpret financial information and trends
• Experience of leading budgeting and forecasting in large complex group
