Music is a key part of life in St. Mary’s and is embedded in our ethos and culture. The department is located in a dedicated building, with a full complement of state-of-the-art facilities, erected in 2017. The O’Kane building has two large teaching spaces, both with adjoining offices and practice areas. Qualified Teacher as recognised by DENI.An honours degree that includes music as the main component.Grade 7 level or above in a musical instrument or voice.Clear knowledge, understanding and experience of curricular requirements for Music at Key Stages 3, 4 & 5. , A minimum of five years teaching experience to include the range from Key Stage 3 through to Sixth Form.Experience of teaching A-Level for a minimum of two years.
