A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Head of Planning to join a beautiful premium womenswear brand. You will maximise business profits through effective management of merchandise from conception to sale. As our Head of Planning, you will support, coach and mentor team members to achieve departmental goals.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with internal teams such as Buyers, creating sales plans and budgets, identifying growth opportunities.
- Identify threats to company's profits, creating strategies to minimise these.
- Maintain critical path process throughout full cycle.
- Ensure Product Managers are updated on production space requirements per department.
- Reacting efficiently to weekly trade, such as repeats and best sellers.
- Maintaining awareness of competitors including product offering, pricing etc.
- Regular communication with international teams.
- Work collaboratively with Buyers and Design teams to ensure ranges match the customers fashion requirements.
- Optimise store performance by working with Planning and Allocation Analyst teams to ensure stock is allocated to stores correctly.
- Oversee stock flow to warehouse and stores pre-empting peak sales trends.
- Liaise with Supply Chain to ensure all stock is picked and allocated to store in line with the critical path and release schedules.
- Lead, coach, mentor and develop planning team members.
- Maximise team performance through effective people management to drive efficiency and profitability.
Person specification:
- At Least 5- 10 years relevant retail experience in a Planning role within the fashion industry including several years as a manager.
- Experience in leading and developing a team.
- Strong analytical skills, computer literate in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel).
- Proven track record of effective stock management in a fashion business.
- Effective planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, working to tight deadlines.
- A love for fashion with a positive 'can do' attitude!
