Head of Planning

A Local Authority based in Wales is currently looking for an experienced Head of Planning to lead all disciplines within the Town Planning Team. The current Head of Planning is due to retire shortly. 

Council: Welsh Local Authority 

Rate: £700-£800 per day

Contract: 12 months

Start date: March/April 2024

Interview date: March

Job details:

• Leading disciplines such as Development Management, Planning Policy, Enforcement, Ecology and Conservation, amongst others.
• Experience managing large teams of planners is required. 
• Budgetary responsibilities.
• Liaising with Senior Management Teams, Elected Members and External Partners.
• Recruitment experience.
• Office presence is negotiable, but attending important meetings is not.
