My client is a leading Public Sector organisation based close to Epsom with the role being office based two or three times a week. We are looking for a driven Head of Procurement to join the team in a vital role that will help continue the growth that both the organisation and Procurement have seen in recent months.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience of leading and interacting with senior internal and external stakeholders to successfully deliver large scale and high-risk procurements from end to end for complex programmes.
The main responsibilities of the Head of Procurement are as follows:
- Lead end-to-end procurement cycles, placing a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement and delivering exceptional value for money.
- Manage a diverse range of Procurement projects spanning various categories.
- Support on various transformation and change projects, leading procurement activity in line with public sector procurement regulations.
- Build excellent relationships with suppliers in order to effectively manage contracts, review supplier performance and ensure that the best value for money is being achieved.
