About You:


As the Head of Procurement, you will play a pivotal role in the UK & Europe Supply Chain Team, contributing to a dynamic environment that thrives on collaboration, resourcefulness, and enthusiasm. This strategic position involves taking ownership of our supplier commercial relationships, encompassing price negotiation, contract performance, risk management, and corporate governance. In addition to these responsibilities, you will lead and manage a team of buyers across various categories. You will be responsible for crafting and executing a strategy that aligns with the short and long-term goals of the EU market, navigating a complex matrix of internal and external relationships.


The Day-to-Day:


  • Own procurement strategy across Taco Bell Europe for all food, packaging, and equipment
  • Manage and coach a team of buyers across various categories, providing guidance and mentorship to enhance their negotiation skills, category strategy development, and overall performance.[FS1] [JM2]
  • Own the EU business unit cost of goods performance by collaborating closely with franchisees, internal stakeholders, and suppliers to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
  • Mitigate annual inflation through effective category strategy, negotiation, and margin improvement projects.
  • Prepare and lead negotiations for categories to achieve business unit cost goals.
  • Own the regional risk management strategy for the business unit.
  • Ensure all suppliers are contracted appropriately to meet EU business needs.
  • Performance manage suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply and uphold right-first-time quality standards.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to be the commercial contact for new suppliers, facilitating the effective delivery of the Marketing Calendar.
  • Support local business unit Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Product Development Manager on supplier issues, including supplier development and crisis management.
  • Partner with the Commercialization team to regionalize products, supporting cost and growth targets.
  • Manage internal audit and governance as it relates to suppliers.
  • Manage legal, environmental, and CSR aspects associated with food and packaging to ensure compliance.
  • Effectively communicate project and category updates to the Taco Bell business unit cross-functional teams.
  • Understand internal stakeholder needs and develop an external knowledge of the impact on Taco Bell EU supply chain

  • Over a decade of leadership experience in procurement, effectively managing and leading teams in dynamic procurement landscapes.
  • Proven track record of crafting and executing comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, demonstrating a strategic mindset throughout your career.
  • Successfully managed the cost of goods and suppliers at a strategic level, implementing cost reduction opportunities to drive financial efficiency.
  • Led transformative change in complex, fast-paced environments, improving work processes and driving organizational transformation.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate workflow efficiently across multiple functional groups, ensuring optimal outputs in procurement operations.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, building and nurturing relationships with stakeholders at all levels throughout your career
