Inspire the Future: Headteacher (Primary)
Are you a transformational leader with the vision and resilience to guide a school through a period of positive change?
We are at a pivotal moment in the journey of our school. Following recent challenges, we are seeking an exceptional and visionary leader to become our next Headteacher. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and ambitious individual to shape the future of our school, rebuild trust, and reignite a passion for learning within our community.
About Us
Shipton Bellinger Primary School is a co-educational community primary school for children aged 4 to 11 located in a rural location. Due to the school’s location in the heart of the Salisbury Plain, the proportion of children from military backgrounds enrolled at the school is in the region of 70%. As a result, the school implements several military friendly initiatives to support service families. For instance, there is a close working relationship with the Armed Forces Education Trust, to provide additional emotional support to service children and training for staff on deployment and its effects. In terms of SEND, the school currently supports a level of SEND pupils greater than the national average. It would therefore be desirable for the successful applicant to have good working knowledge and experience working in settings with a greater than average SEND cohort.

- A proven track record of raising standards and achieving excellent academic outcomes, even in challenging circumstances

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills to inspire staff, students, parents, and governors
- The ability to build strong relationships, foster collaboration, and promote a culture of openness and trust
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all children
- It is desirable for the successful applicant to have a good working knowledge and experience of working with children with SEND.
We Offer
