The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a new head teacher following the retirement of our long serving and highly respected current head. This is an exciting opportunity for a new leader who has a clear educational vision for the whole child.
Medina is a city school in Wymering, which is in the north of Portsmouth, near to Portsdown Hill. We are a one form entry primary school set in abundant and well-resourced grounds that enable pupils to participate freely in the outdoor activities that they enjoy so much. Our location, close to the M27, ensures easy access for pupils to visit and learn about the city and the wider region.
Our new leader will push forward with improving achievement and build upon the improvements to the curriculum that Medina has made year on year. We want a leader with the skills and ideas to enhance provision for pupils’ personal development. We expect our new leader fully to understand the importance of early years and be committed to the needs of all pupils.
The successful candidate will demonstrate significant ability to lead a small but dedicated and enthusiastic team.
