The Governors of Townhill Junior School are looking to recruit a dedicated and inspiring person to take over the leadership of our flourishing school from September 2024, as our current Head is moving on after six very successful years.
We are a highly inclusive school with a strong reputation for caring for children with SEND. Our central ethos is to develop a love of learning amongst all members of our community, and by the time our children leave us, we want them to be confident learners, with high aspirations and motivated to succeed.
Our SIO reported during his recent visit that “The school’s caring approach ensures that pupils with social and emotional needs are helped to manage their behaviour and develop their self-esteem and self-confidence.” In our most recent Ofsted inspection, (11-12 October 2022) we were judged to be Good in all areas, with a well-balanced curriculum and strong support to enable our learners to be resilient and confident young people.
We are therefore looking for a Headteacher who will lead us on our continuing journey to Outstanding. Whilst promoting the safety and wellbeing of our pupils and staff you will maintain our commitment to supporting our children to love learning and to become emotionally secure and caring citizens.
