Reed have been briefed to recruit on behalf of a large Food Manufacturing business to recruit for an SHE Manager on an initial 3 month Fixed Term Contract. The role will suit an experienced Health And Safety professional, who is keen on being able to make a genuine difference on the Health And Safety standards of a food production site.

Health and Safety Manager

£275-£350 per day
Job description:
- Ensure the site is legal and compliant to all Health & Safety and Environmental company standards.
- Being proactive to identify risks and recommending actions to minimise risk to the business and impact of enforcement activity.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental standards.
- Conduct risk assessments to include H&S and Environmental
- Analyse results and highlight trends to identify problem areas to enable informed and effective decision making.
- Act as the lead competent person for Health And Safety and handle all Accreditation and Compliance Audits/Visits.
Person specification:
- IOSH / NEBOSH - National General Certificate
- Good understanding of UK legislation in relation to Health & Safety (essential)
- Internal Audit trained
- Experience of working in a fast moving distribution environment, preferably from a multi-drop, multi temperature foodservice business with strong knowledge in Health & Safety, Environmental, Food Standards and internal and external auditing standards.
Qualifications:
- NEBOSH General Certificate
