This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your analytical skills and generate health economic evidence that impacts the strategy and direction of AstraZeneca’s pharmaceuticals. You can be based in any of AstraZeneca Nordic Marketing Company (Nordic MC) offices.
Accountabilities:
As a Health Economist, you will play a pivotal role in payer evidence generation and interpretation across the Nordics. You will be involved in preparing reimbursement and launch strategies in each of our markets as a valued member of cross-functional teams with Market Access, Medical Affairs, and commercial franchise teams.
You will be part of the Nordic Health Economics team and be responsible for the Nordic Health Economic Strategy and demonstrating the value to payers and authorities for the brands and indications you are working on. You will collaborate with the Global Teams and adapt and/or develop strategy and cost-effectiveness models to satisfy local needs, and work together with Market Access and Medical teams on reimbursement dossiers and evidence projects.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Relevant academic degree (PhD, MSc or equivalent, preferably in economics, health economics, etc.)
- 3+ years’ experience from the pharmaceutical industry or other relevant business
- Experience from reimbursement submissions, in the Nordic region or in HTA markets
- Experience in modelling and/or applied statistics
- Good capabilities in writing advanced texts
- Proficient in written and spoken English, another Nordic language will be an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience from working with data bases, designing RWE studies and interpret results
- Documented excellent ability in conducting and communicating health economic projects and/or research
