Job IntroductionHire Desk Manager - Stoke - Monday to FridaySpeedy are the UK’s leading hire provider with the widest range of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant and support services – everything for every job!As a Hire Desk Manager, you will run and lead a team of Hire Controllers to ensure the smooth day to day running of your Hire Desk, catering to the every need of our customers. You will meet budgeted targets and expectations, with overall responsibility for people and process management, ensuring improvements in customer service, performance and productivity for the team and monitoring KPIs to ensure operational excellence at all times. What you’ll need:Essential SkillsProven ability to motivate and manage a large team demonstrating influencing and persuasive skills, gaining buy in from stakeholdersDemonstrable strong coaching and development skillsPrevious management experience gained in a similar settingCapable of developing strong relationships internally and externallyTrack record of delivering high levels of customer service to internal and external customers.Flexibility in all areas of the roleComputer literate including Microsoft Office i.e. Excel, Outlook, etcAbility to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.DesirableExperience of working within the hire industryAble to demonstrate success/improvement  in areas of department results and performanceWhat will we provide? We will provide everything you need to ensure you succeed in this role!
