Waterside Hotel & Leisure Club is a well-renowned hotel & leisure club located in the heart of Didsbury. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional hospitality services to our guests and members, making their stay a memorable experience. We are currently looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist to join our team.
As a Hotel Receptionist at The Waterside, you will be the first point of contact for our guests. Your primary responsibility is to ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere, provide excellent customer service, and facilitate a smooth check-in and check-out process. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting guests with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Assisting guests with reservations and check-in/check-out procedures.
- Handling guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and courteously.
- Maintaining a clean and organized front desk area.
- Providing information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Processing payments and managing guest accounts accurately.
- Coordinating with other hotel departments to fulfil guest needs.
- Resolving guest issues or escalating them to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of hotel policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using reservation and hotel management software (Protel preferred)
- Well-groomed and professional appearance.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality is a plus.
