Who will I be working for?
Darthaven Marina is located in the stunning South Hams countryside, surrounded by rolling hills and in a truly tranquil setting. Our impressive 270 berth marina has grown over the past 30 years and we continue to pride ourselves in the first-class service we provide to our berth holders, visitors and customers.
We’re currently looking for an HR Administrator to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis, working approximately 20 to 25 hours, 4 to 5 days, per week.

The Role
As an HR Administrator, you will provide support for a variety of administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our HR processes and administration.
You will assist the MD and SMT in co-ordinating the recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
You will also maintain employee records and provide administrative support to our MD, CEO and Finance Manager.
Working closely with our external HR Consultant you will handle simple employee queries regarding HR-related matters. Together with our Consultant you will help to ensure that HR processes comply with employment law and the ACAS Code of Practice.
Additionally, you will:
- Maintain accurate records of candidate applications and recruitment activities
- Co-ordinate the induction process for new employees
- Provide accurate information to our HR Consultant to prepare written statements of particulars of employment
About You
To be considered as an HR Administrator, you will need:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information at all times and with discretion
Previous experience in HR would be useful but not essential, as would CIPD Level 3 or equivalent.
