Job description

I'm looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior HR Administrator to join our client's team in Kendal. Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in providing HR support and guidance to managers and employees across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line HR advice, guidance, and support to managers on people-related matters, including complex issues.
  • Produce employment contracts, contractual changes, and other HR correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate and deliver training on company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain HR electronic data, manual personnel files, and records in compliance with GDPR.
  • Work with team leaders to ensure consistent application of the company's attendance policy.
  • Liaise with external Occupational Healthcare provider to support sickness absence management.
  • Attend and minute formal absence reviews, disciplinary, grievance, and appeal hearings.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in an HR Admin role, preferably within a Manufacturing environment.
  • Some employee relations experience would be preferable
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • First-class verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and exercise discretion.

Salary Range & Benefits
