Ambitious HR Advisor
This is a wonderful opportunity for a proactive and commercially astute HR Advisor who’s looking to work with a values driven, growing SME. The organisation is an established and hugely successful business within the luxury services sector and has offices in Swindon and Scotland. Supporting a diverse workforce covering a number of locations, of the 50 staff, circa a third are based in Swindon and the rest dotted about the UK and in the north of Scotland.
Due to growth plans we are looking for an ambitious HR Advisor who has the capacity and desire to grow and develop as the business grows. It will offer someone a huge opportunity to really hone all their operational HR skills in recruitment, development and ER etc as you will be responsible for all aspects of HR within the organisation. This role is also responsible for all HR administration and so the person coming in must be happy to roll up their sleeves and get on with whatever needs doing.
In addition to the operational aspects of the role, for someone who loves to identify areas of improvement and put in solutions there will be the autonomy and opportunity to add value and grow your own HR career.
This hybrid role, 3 days a week in the office and 2 remote with more flexibility in the winter, offers a huge amount of variety in a friendly fun, organisation where people enjoy coming to work.
Person Specification
- Preferably degree educated and/or CIPD qualified or working towards.
- Experience in all aspects of HR including: employee relations, employment law, recruitment, aspects of learning and development.
- Experience of supporting on a variety of HR projects within a fast paced, growing SME environment would be ideal. More important though will be a positive 'can-do’ attitude, the ability to communicate at all levels and the desire to add value.
- Able to flex your approach to adapt to the needs of an evolving and changing company
- Proactive with excellent problem solving skills.
- No airs and graces, willing to muck in and get on with whatever needs doing.
- Attention to detail with the ability to plan and organise workloads effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Well-developed influencing and negotiating skills.
- Good judgement; Confident, persuasive, approachable and dependable.
It would suit a competent and ambitious HR Advisor who is looking for more variety and more autonomy within a small, friendly organisation, who has the desire to grow and develop into an HR Manager as the company grows and develops.
