Description
My client is seeking to appoint an HR Advisor to assist with all HR / employee relations matters in a busy and friendly HR Department. Reporting in to the Head of HR, the position will see the successful applicant delivering the following key responsibilities;
- Managing short and long term absence including referrals to Occupation Health
- Supporting investigations into disciplinary matters; advising on procedure and taking notes
- Supporting investigations into grievance matters; advising on procedure and taking notes
- Supporting organisational change; managing restructures that include consultation around redundancy and driving efficiency savings
- Supporting line managers in managing capability cases
- Upskilling managers by designing and delivering your own training sessions
- Help to deliver cultural change through good practices and improving the credibility of the HR department · Review policies and procedures annually
- Develop HR KPI's
- Assist with employee engagement surveys
- Cover the role of the Recruitment Coordinator when on annual leave
Profile
A successful 'HR Advisor' should have:
- Experience in a not-for-profit sector organisation, ideally education, is highly desirable
- Excellent knowledge of HR policies and procedures
- Demonstrable experience in Employee Relations, particularly supporting on absence and disciplinaries, and consultations
- Demonstrable experience of working in a change environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in HR software
