Our Ceramex site, which is responsible for the manufacturing of DPS, seeks to recruit a HR Advisor, HR generalist to support our business for a materity cover, The role acts as the point of contact for all employees, providing administrative and HR support.
This role will cover following aspects of this role:
- Working with the middle / line managers on day today basis to coach them and advise them on best practice and provide them solutions in-line with our policies and procedure.
- Build effective working relationships with all staff at all levels providing support, advice, and guidance on a range of HR policies and HR related issues particularly disciplinary, grievance, capability/performance and management of sickness.
- Supporting managers with disciplinary/grievance hearings and investigations up to and including appeals. Using the Bradford factor method
- Work with middle managers to support and coach with the employee life cycle.
- Support the onboarding process of both employees and recruitment agency workers.
- Assist in the development and integration of a HR system.
- Ensuring HR records are accurate and up to date.
- Developing and analysing data to make appropriate recommendations.
- Reviewing and updating of policies ensuring they are fully compliant and up to date with legislation.
- Preparation of employment contracts and managing changes to terms and conditions of employment.
- Make recommendations for improvements in processes and practices.
- Collate payroll data and liaise with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Provide regular people inputs to company reporting, both internal and to meet Group requirements (Monthly Reports, Managers Meetings, Board Meetings).
About you:
- Have a strong Knowledge and experience of delivering HR generalist support, with focus on employment relations, CIPD qualified level 3 or above or has equivalent HR experience
- Solid people skills to develop relationships with middle management.
- Must have the knowledge and understanding of the practical application of Employment Law.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, conscientious and hands on
- Excellent organisational/administrative skills with an eye for detail
- Practical and common-sense approach and the ability to manage time/projects and prioritise
- Must be IT literate and have experience of HR systems and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experienced HR Advisor or Senior Advisor who has held a similar position within a fast-paced environment
- Ideally you must have experience of working within a blue collar or Manufacturing background, ideally spent within a high-volume environment
This is a fixed term contract for 12 to 15 months, this could be extended.
