As our Assistant HR Advisor you will be the first point of contact for our generalist HR team, responding to enquiries, or signposting them to other members of the team. You will provide advice and guidance on topics such as maternity and paternity leave, contractual changes and enquires, as well as being supported undertake non-complex casework to enable you to develop within the role.
You will be supported to carry out the following duties, responsibilities and training...
Working as part of our fast-paced, friendly and supportive HR team, you will undertake a variety of duties, including:
- Undertaking non -complex casework, and make occupational health referrals.
- Actioning amendments to employees contracts, including updating payroll.
- Day to day responsibility for the Council’s benefits portfolio, ensuring internal communications and web pages are kept up to date, monitoring usage and responding to queries.
- Reviewing monthly reports of forthcoming changes to employee’s terms and conditions of employment.

What we're looking for...
We are looking for someone with an enthusiastic and proactive approach to their work, who wants to develop their HR career. You will need to have experience of working in an HR team and either qualified to CIPD Level 5, or willing to study for this qualification.
