We are excited to offer a HR Assistant role suitable for an individual with at least 6 months of HR experience. This position offers the opportunity to become CIPD qualified while working for a leading logistics and freight company. The role is based on-site and is ideal for someone looking to develop their HR career.
Day-to-day of the role:- Support recruitment by advertising roles, liaising with partners and agencies, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Monitor and report on temporary agency spend.
- Coordinate DISC Profiling and set up interviews.
- Manage the onboarding cycle, including drafting offer letters, contracts, and conducting right to work checks.
- Arrange participation in corporate induction and manage probation review tasks.
- Prepare and administer paperwork for employees, such as contractual changes and leaver documents.
- Ensure timely information flow for payroll submission.
- Manage the off-boarding cycle and maintain accurate employee records.
- Review and organise training for First Aiders and Fire Marshals.
- Assist with HR audits and provide additional contact for general HR-related issues.
- Provide references for ex-employees and support the HR team with minute-taking and other ad hoc duties.
- Minimum 6 months experience in an HR-related role.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- High attention to detail and computer literacy, particularly with Word and Excel.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of the HR team.
