The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time, permanent HR Assistant to join our dedicated HR team in delivering our People Strategy and providing a professional HR Service. The role will involve providing first line advice to staff on a range of HR processes and procedures, as well as supporting recruitment and selection activity. This would include the production of offer letters and contracts for successful applicants and supporting the running of assessment days.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a varied administrative role, creating an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads. Possession of, or willingness to work towards, a CIPD Level 3 qualification would be an advantage, but is not essential.

This role will be based at our Accrington and Rossendale College site, however, travel across sites may be required.
What You Will Be Doing:
· Coordinating pre-employment checks including issuing medical questionnaires, requesting references, facilitating DBS checks, collating evidence of eligibility to work and qualifications and ensuring all information is recorded on the College’s Single Central Record
· Writing to staff to advise of contractual changes, including changes to hours and pay
· Assisting with the monitoring of the College’s probation procedure, ensuring probation reviews are completed in a timely manner
· Supporting the smooth running of the College’s annual leave system, including dealing with queries from staff and managers in relation to annual leave entitlement
What We Are Looking For:
· 4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C or above
· Level 3 qualification in Administration or other relevant subject
· Achievement of, or working towards a CIPD Level 3 qualification (Desirable)
· Experience of working in a varied administrative role
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload
· Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
· Experience of working within an HR team (Desirable)
