HR Assistant Advisor (Generalist) opportunity available working for a leading manufacturing organisation based in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The purpose of the role is to work with the HR Manager to provide an effective HR service. Providing support across all HR functions, including recruitment, training and development, employee relations, absence management. Working closely with managers to ensure their understanding and compliance of employment legislation, company policies, procedures and team management. Provide data and reports to senior management team, including Directors, to give understanding of absence levels, turnover, stability etc and associated costs to the business.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Support HR Manager with the implementation of HR policies and procedures and reviewing these.
- Recruitment including posting appropriate advertisements, utilising job boards, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, obtain references, develop job specs and advertisements.
- Training and ensure training records are maintained and up to date, liaise with managers on training requirements, both internal and external. Source appropriate external training providers.
- Supporting with disciplinary and grievance cases, investigations and appeals.
- Produce HR related documentation including offer of employment letters, terms & conditions, pay reviews, as well as disciplinary and grievance, appeal and investigation letters.
- Support with Pay Reviews.
- Process leavers.
- Assist with new starter Inductions.
- Responsible for right to work and ETW checks.
- Provide management with HR data.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Make sure HR records are all up to date.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety policies and procedures, including wearing of PPE where applicable.
- Be pro-active in promoting safety at work.
- Accompany the H&S Manager at investigation meetings to take notes and ensure policy and procedure is followed through to any formal disciplinary procedures.
Salary: £26,500 to £28,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
Hours: 36 ½ per week; Monday to Friday 8am-4pm (early finish 3pm Friday)
The role is based at their Bradford site Monday-Friday with free onsite parking.
