We are now seeking to recruit an HR Assistant to support the HR team in providing comprehensive and effective organisational, administrative and technical services and HR systems support to ensure the smooth day to day operation of the function and achievement of HR objectives. Prospective applicants are advised that this role is a maternity leave cover which we expect to be for 1 year and will be starting around beginning to mid-September 2024.
The successful candidate will need to have previous experience of working in HR in a similar role, with some understanding of employment law, recruitment processes and ability to take meeting notes and produce accurate reports.
Furthermore, they will need to have all-rounded general administrative skills and be comfortable with decision making, exercising judgement to deliver consistent, timely HR advice within established guidance and parameters.
Prospective applicants are also advised that your normal place of work will be the NEU office specified in this advert and that the NEU operates ‘Blended Working Arrangements’ for office-based staff, which means you will typically need to be based in the designated NEU office for 3 days a week (based on a full-time contract), with the remaining days based at home, and subject to business needs.
