I am currently partnering with a fantastic HR & Payroll consultancy business based in the Midlands, who are keen to recruit for a HR Consultant to join their high-performing and supportive team.
This role is predominately home based with travel across the Midlands area (mileage claimable).
Salary paying up to GBP48,000 PA plus a competitive benefits package.
Key Accountabilities:
• To undertake HR consultancy assignments, as allocated by your line manager, and within own sphere of competence.
• To deliver assigned consultancy projects to a high professional standard and within the agreed project scope in a timely manner, including the drafting of project reports and the creation of supporting document bundles, template letters etc as agreed.
• To respond to consultancy customer needs, via telephone, e-mail or other correspondence, in a professional manner. Ensuring separation is maintained between the roles of the HR consultant and the role of the HR Advisory Team.
• To keep accurate records of the time spent on each project and ensure the customers are invoiced in accordance with the project proposal, seeking agreement for additional days where legitimately required to conclude the agreed work.
• Undertake regular on-site delivery to customers in areas of HR such as (but not limited to) disciplinary and grievance investigations, restructures, harmonisation of terms of employment, mediation, recruitment & selection, safeguarding, HR policy development, training, employee relations advice and other matters.
• To attend and present cases, where necessary, at formal hearings/appeals, up to and including dismissals.
• To advise and participate in complex union consultation meetings as part of the scope of an assigned consultancy project.
• To support and advise the consultancy customer on how to achieve and maintain an appropriate employee relations climate, where appropriate to the assigned project scope.
• To identify situations where legal/safeguarding support is needed and liaise with other colleagues as appropriate.
• To identify new consultancy opportunities with new and existing consultancy customers, such as but not limited to note taking, bespoke training, mediation and eLearning.
• To provide advice and guidance to colleagues within the HR Advisory team to support their development and to ensure that all consultancy customers receive timely, accurate, professional and independent advice.
• To, from time to time and when consultancy project work allows, attend hearings and other meetings on behalf of the HR Advisory Team and contribute to the development of customer resources, internal training, and other projects, as agreed with the Head of Consultancy.
