Our client, a leading business in the Technology sector is seeking an HR Manager to join their team on a contract basis, covering a period of 15 months.
Due to the need for a Maternity Cover, our client is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable HR Manager to join their team, where you will be responsible for being the lead for all HR queries within the business, reporting to the board of directors.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in working as part of a small team and also a standalone role, reporting to the Managing Director.
Due to the location of the role the successful candidate will be required to have access to their own vehicle, and will be required in the office on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the lead contact for all HR-related queries within the business, providing proactive advice to the board of directors and management team
- Develop and oversee the implementation of the company’s recruitment strategy
- Develop and oversee the implementation of the company’s retention strategy
- Manage a small HR team
- Lead as required on all employee relations matters including but not limited to informal meetings, investigations, disciplinaries, grievance hearings, welfare meetings and more
- Champion all mental health and wellbeing initiatives
- Oversee the offboarding of employees
- Lead all project work related to the HR function
- Review and define all HR processes
Key Experience:
- A minimum of 4 years’ in a Head of HR / HR Management position
- Experience working both in a standalone role and as part of a small team
- Experience managing a small HR team
- Experienced and confident reporting to the board of Directors
- Level 5 / 7 CIPD qualified or equivalent
- Have significant and demonstrable experience leading employee relations issues
- Abe to work in a fast-paced environment, building and maintaining relationships with those across the business
