We are working exclusively with an industry leading, family run produce grower and supplier, who are growing and actively investing, in their search for an HR Manager to join their team in Kent. This is a brand new position within the business and will look to support and lead the HR team whilst implementing and developing HR strategies, systems and procedures.
The person that will be successful as the HR Manager will:

As a family business, our client is very focussed on it’s people with many of the staff holding long tenures within the business. Whilst they boast a permanent workforce of over 300 people, the seasonality of the business can see numbers soar over 1000! Alongside this, active investment within the business has transformed several of their sites into state of the art facilities that look to give back to the environment, with aims to save water, use less energy and encourage wildlife to their sites.
The experience you need to be successful as the HR Manager:
- Experience leading a team as an HRBP or HR Manager
- Demonstrable HR knowledge around HR metrics, systems and databases, ideally being CIPD level 5 or above
- A background within businesses that deal with large numbers of people. Ideally this will be within produce, food manufacturing, wider manufacturing or horticulture
The key responsibilities of the HR Manager will include:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Manage the recruitment and selection process
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programmes
- Ensure legal compliance throughout HR
To the successful candidate they are offering circa £60,000 plus bonus.
