Hr Manager

With both manufacturing and imported products, this diverse company is now seeking a Human Resources Manager to be based at it’s Kent Head Office with regular visits to other offices around the UK.

The Role
Reporting into the CEO, this role require working strategically and operationally with responsibility across the group of companies.  The successful candidate will:
Provide guidance and support on an array of HR activities including; policies and procedures, terms and conditions, absence management, restructuring of services, recruitment, retention, performance management, employee relations, learning and development and industrial relations.
Work closely with the CEO to identify, design and deliver strategic projects.
Manage and oversee the recruitment process, proving advice and support to managers, participating in the selection process including analysis of market data to measure competitiveness of compensation and benefits package.
Manage redundancy and TUPE processes from initial discussions through to termination/deployment.
Manage all disciplinaries, grievances and investigations aiming to resolve cases before they are escalated further, and represent at tribunal level, if cases are escalated.
Advise senior management on legal developments and risk factors associated with any changes.
Provide advice on and manage the performance management process.
Monitor and review performance appraisals.
Ensure HR systems are kept up to date and accurate.

Personal Profile
CIPD Level 5 qualified but extensive HR experience considered.
Have experience of working within a SME in a standalone role or a small team across multi-sites.
Have line management experience.
Have strong employment law knowledge.
Have experience of working in unionised environments.
Have Manufacturing/FMCG/Industrial industry experience.
Have TUPE experience.
Be an excellent communicator, capable of working with a diverse workforce
