Full time, 5 days on site
Medlock Partners are partnering with a Global Manufacturing business to identify a talented and resilient HR Manager who will provide HR support to the leadership team and the business as a whole.
You will contribute to business success through HR and business knowledge/experience, application, and leading HR initiatives.
Following a period of change and restructure, the business is continuing to grow by improving process, driving the people agenda and supporting cultural change.
***This role is 5 days on site and will include travel to another UK site in the Midlands***
Key Responsibilities of the HR Manager:
* Provide support and assist leaders in driving success and maximise the potential of our greatest asset, our people.
* Build and maintain a strong relationship with client groups, particularly at the senior management level and develop an awareness of the business challenges and objectives of these departments to drive a proactive approach to HR.
* Partner with leadership to improve HR practises, process decisions and programs.
* Effectively communicate and execute HR programs, leveraging relationships and expertise to articulate value and secure adoption.
* Communicate and ensure compliance with policies and procedures, reinforce Values and strategic plan, demonstrate alignment between HR programs, business objectives and Values.
* Utilising recruitment best practises design recruitment strategies to acquire and retain talent and lead recruitment initiatives and sources opportunities.
* Prepare job offers and conduct employee orientation sessions.
* Manages employee relations and conducts employee communication activities.
* Guide and provide consultation and coaching to the Business on issues related to legal and procedural compliance, grievance, discipline, workforce planning, talent and performance management, recruitment, compensation and organisational development.
* Continuous employee and manager coaching with direct involvement in escalated coaching situations including the preparation of formal letters.
* Provides support to hourly and salaried staff by having a visible presence, fostering good staff relationships in order to gain commitment from all employees.
* Working with the Global team on key projects/ initiatives.
* Involvement in national and global HR projects and programs: planning and implementing projects (timelines and milestones) for key initiatives, both regional and global in scope.
Key requirements of the HR Manager:
* Experience at HR Manager level essential, including Generalist HR, supporting a diverse workforce.
* Experience within the Manufacturing/Engineering industry is essential.
* University degree and CIPD Qualified or equivalent.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, a team player with the ability to work with people at all levels across the business.
* Good organisational and administrative skills with working knowledge of HR systems and processes.
* Strong problem-solving skills, practical and logical approach to conflict management.
