Our School is seeking to appoint an outstanding professional to join the school as HR Officer. We offer the opportunity to work in a high quality and caring environment.
Job Purpose: Join our dynamic school community as an HR Officer, where you'll play a crucial role in facilitating seamless human resources activities. This includes overseeing recruitment and selection, managing data, processing DBS checks, ensuring compliance with the Single Central Record, and handling general HR administration. In addition, you will support the implementation of policies and procedures, provide confidential advice, and foster positive working relationships.
Ideal candidates:
- Competitive pay ranging from £80 to £100 per day.
- Ideal candidates will possess a background or knowledge in human resources, coupled with experience or knowledge in childcare or the classroom/school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Promoting Effective Relationships:
- Cultivate an open and honest culture among colleagues.
- Act as a liaison between departments to enhance communication and collaboration.
Employee Relations:
- Foster a positive environment for employee relations within the school.
- Assist leaders in managing various stages of employee relation cases.
HR Training:
- Support the design and delivery of HR training sessions to enhance staff understanding.
- Stay updated on employment law changes and HR best practices for current training materials.
Absence Management:
- Manage accurate records and address staff absences in collaboration with line managers.
- Implement policies to address attendance-related issues.
Occupational Health:
- Process and track all Occupational Health referrals.
- Facilitate necessary adjustments to working conditions as directed by the Headteacher.
- Provide support throughout the Occupational Health referral process.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Maintain the Single Central Record for compliance.
- Generate regular reports on HR metrics to inform decision-making.
Confidential Advice and Guidance:
- Serve as a reliable source of confidential advice to the Leadership Team and staff.
- Uphold confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive HR matters.
Policy Implementation:
- Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and model best practices tailored to the school's needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
