HR Payroll Officer
£42,000 package which is inclusive of a travel allowance
4 days a week onsite and 1 day WFH

Our client, a global, highly successful energy-based trading company, based in the City of London, are seeking an experienced, professional, highly competent HR Payroll Officer, to join their team of five. You will be an integral part of the HR function, working with two other HR Generalists, handling day-to-day HR operations and projects, as well as the administration of HR policies and procedures across the organisation. The added responsibility for this particular role, will be managing the Payroll function and working with the outsourced provider. This will take up 50% of the role, and the successful candidate, must come with some payroll experience/exposure. You will need to be comfortable with payroll reports and be system savvy.

Your roles and responsibilities will include;
- Manage company payroll and maintaining payroll record;
- Administer payroll compliance as required eg. PAYE, NIC, P11D's, Pension and Auto-enrolment
- Manage and administrate employee benefits including PMI, Cash Plan, Travel Insurance, Salary sacrifice schemes, etc
- Implement and administrate HR policies. Identify ways to improve policies and procedures;
- Advise colleagues on company policy, and assist with the development and implementation of new policies;
- Deliver effective support to the head of HR and the wider business, ensuring operational excellence across all aspects of the HR function;;
- Assist Head of HR to manage and develop employee benefits and compensation;
- Assist Head of HR on recruitment;
- Implement learning and development activities by coordinating training sessions, managing attendance and gathering and evaluating employee feedback;
- Manage expat visa application/extension and relocation;
- Internship management and application to HQs;
- Maintain up-to-date, accessible and accurate HR records;
- Manage employees absence management system;
- Process the relevant HR invoices;
- Other general HR tasks, including reference letters, maintain JDs, assisting HR training sessions and interviews, etc.
- Other tasks assigned by Head of HR
The HR Payroll Officer wll interact with a range of functions within the organisation and will develop and maintain appropriate networks with agencies, clients, Headquarters and other overseas offices.
We are seeking a candidate who possesses the following competencies, experience and attributes;
- 1 to 2 years previous experience working in payroll, in multicultural environment
- Good understanding of UK employment practices, employment law and business policies
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office package
- Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
- Be flexible, and able to react quickly to the various demands of the business
- A team player
