You will be joining the HR function for a busy higher education organisation in central Oxford, initially on a 24-month contract basis. This role can be offered on a full time or an 0.8 FTE. With close to 500 staff and over 100 casuals, there is a lot to do when it comes to ensuring a smooth HR & Payroll service is delivered to a high standard. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will be joining at an exciting time as the team prepare for a new HRIS platform that will dramatically reduce the administration/manual requirements across both HR Ops and Payroll. As HR & Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for: Prepare, check and process payroll for just under 500 employees, assisting in the preparation of monthly payroll schedules for both employees and casuals and working with accounts for processing as well as supporting payroll processes for HRMC and Pension Providers Collate and maintain accurate records of payroll data changes required ahead of processing Regular use of Sage 50 (current system) Support the Head of HR and wider HR team with HR tasks such as being the first point of contact for HR queries, updating HR records, new starter payroll checks and contracts and day to day support as required Assisting with recruitment by helping to create job adverts, coordinating interviews, managing offers and assisting managers with interview support and day to day query management on all things recruitment What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
