As the People & Culture Relations Specialist (HR Specialist), you will act as the first point of contact for HR queries and support, advising on policies and procedures. You will assist in all areas of the People & Culture function and provide excellent administrative support to ensure positive employee relations and services that align employees with Compassion’s Christian Ethos, culture and strategic outcomes.

- Assist with the day-to-day operation of the People & Culture function and duties
- Foster and lead an agile team with great culture and development at the core
The successful candidate will have:
- Proficiency in HR processes, concepts, and administration.
- Understanding and application of UK/EU employment laws.
- Experience in payroll support and understanding of payroll processes.
- Strong ability to connect and communicate effectively with others.
- Fluency in English, proficiency in numerical and written tasks, and competence in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Skillful in building meaningful relationships and rapport across diverse environments.
- Ability to innovate, adapt to change, and thrive in a fast-paced work setting.
- Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in task completion.
- GCSEs in Maths and English, or equivalent qualifications
- There’s an occupational requirement for the holder of this role to be a practising Christian, in order to promote Compassion’s ethos and help others to experience, explore and express the faith-based motivation of our work. Office-based
*Hybrid working is offered as a benefit with a minimum of 40% of hours in the office. A higher proportion of remote working hours may be considered based on a number of criteria, including a difficult or excessive commute.
