Purpose of the role:
To support with integration activities and drive the associated HR agenda. Working with the wider HR community to drive HR continuous improvement projects that arise from the overall integration project.
Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Responsible for general administration/HR records administration of confidential and highly sensitive information.
  • Provide frontline delivery of relevant, defined integration activities.
  • Work as assigned to deliver the integration plans.
  • Tracking any transitioning employees between businesses, ensuring any TUPE related impacts are fully respected.
  • Supporting the union relationships on transition related activities.
  • Assist in the timely and relevant delivery of communication plans.
  • Support of 1-2-1 meetings and note taking.
  • Responsibility for drafting, issuing and tracking all relevant documents and onboarding materials.
  • Working with line managers to positively influence the onboarding process for transitioning employees.
  • Updating HR information systems (Kronos and Oracle Fusion).
  • Support the wider HR Team on specific project work when required.

Competencies:
  • Experience of unionised environments and actively being involved with them under the guidance of more senior HR representation.
  • Able to demonstrate effective communication both written and verbal.
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law and the implications on the business.
  • Proven ability to provide a customer focused service.
  • Able to work as a team player and ability to use own initiative.
  • Self-motivated, demonstrates ownership and accountability for tasking, and is flexible and adaptable towards the needs of the role.
  • Able to manage own workload, prioritising when necessary and giving visibility of activities and challenges to more senior HR team members.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR databases.

Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:
  • Level 3 CIPD qualification or equivalent

The role holder must be present at the relevant work locations (Gosport and Portsmouth) to support operational needs.
