Appointmentof three Independent Board Members to the Northern Ireland Policing Board(NIPB).
The Northern Ireland Policing Board is an independent public bodyestablished under the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000. The Board isresponsible for securing the maintenance of the police in Northern Ireland, andhas a key role in ensuring the provision of an effective, efficient, impartialand accountable police service which will enjoy the support of all sections ofthe community. It consists of both political members and independent members.
We are seeking candidates who can meet the following criteria: Managingand Influencing Relationships; Strategic Focus; Corporate Governance andOrganisational Performance; and Organisational leadership.
Board Memberswill be required to commit to a minimum of four days per month to PolicingBoard business and to represent the Board at a variety of events. This will include evening events, weekendsand travel throughout Northern Ireland. Members receive an annual remunerationof £15k.
Appointment isfor a term of up to four years. The maximum number of terms that Board Memberscan serve is two. There is no automaticreappointment to the role and therefore, should Board Members wish to serve asecond term, they are required to reapply for the role.
