COMMUNICATIONS LEAD
Futur First are looking for a proactive, talented and motivated communicator to impactfully communicate our mission and programme updates; support an integrated Future First voice across platforms and work areas, and enhance and grow our online and social media presence.
You will develop and implement our marketing and Communications strategy, lead on managing our website, curating content and updates, writing blogs and articles, commissioning our team of freelancers, and ensuring consistent and impactful social media presence through all channels. You will work closely with the Head of Schools Delivery to develop and implement a sales strategy for our membership offer, proactively contributing to impactful outreach that will support sales KPIs.
Person specification
● Excellent writing and editorial skills
● Adaptability to shifting priorities and new systems / ways of working
● Technical confidence including website, image manipulation, design and video
● Strong working knowledge of WordPress
● Knowledge of the UK education system and how to influence the partnerships and networks within this space would be an advantage
● Expertise in taking strategy from inception to reality
● Clear understanding of Google analytics and metrics
● Knowledge of CRM systems and audience management/segmentation
● Communications expertise in bringing products and services to market
● Strong report writing skills.

The work is varied and often fast-paced, requiring rapid processing of information, and the ability to act confidently with multiple and senior stakeholders including employers, volunteers and school leaders.
As with any small, constantly evolving organisation, each individual balances multiple responsibilities, while shaping their role around their skills and interests.

Work pattern
The post is offered on a minimum 4 days per week, up to 5 days per week. If part-time, hours/days are fully flexible across the week, though it would be expected that a regular pattern of working hours would be agreed.
Salary and conditions
This is a permanent position. The salary is in the region of £37k-£44k pro rata, depending on the experience of the appointee. Future First staff receive pro rata 28 days of leave (in addition to 8 UK public holidays) increasing one day per year up to 33.
Reporting
This post reports directly to the CEO.
