SalaryThis Deputy Head of Financial Accounting role will play a crucial role in deputising for the Head of Financial Accountant.
The Client:
Well renowned University based in London, with a growing and evolving Finance Function.
The Role:
To manage the day to day running of the Accounts Payable and General Ledger functions and deputise for the Financial Accounting aspects of the Head of Financial Accounting’s work in their absence. To lead on year-end and the statutory accounts production and liaise with the external auditors. The post-holder will be directly supported by a Financial Accountant, A Cashier and Accounts Payable Manager. Manage, support and provide guidance and training directly to the Accounts Payable Manager and the Financial Accountant
The Successful Candidate:
- A track record of Continuing Professional Development activity and training
- Substantial relevant accounting experience, including significant post-qualification, to include financial reporting, group accounts and audit.
- Writing and presenting reports for senior management.
- Improving and developing processes and procedures.

- The appointment is offered on a 6-month fixed-term basis initially, with the option to go permanent on the completion of their fixed-term contract

- Daily rate of c. £450 - £500 or FTC salary of c.£60,000
