Job Description
As a PR specialist you will develop and contribute to the communications strategy and drive communication campaigns. You will also help to Implement the communications plan undertaking proactive communications campaigns as well as provide strategic advice. You will also produce several publications including brand guidelines, copy-writing, presentations, media responses and web content management.
- Develop and implement effective public relations strategies.
- Manage media relations and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Coordinate all public relations activities and events.
- Create engaging press releases, media coverage reports, and PR campaign plans.
- Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborations on an ongoing basis.
- Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness.
- Maintain anunderstanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy.
- Supporting mentor other members of the PR team.
The Successful Applicant
A successful 'Press Officer- PR' professional should have:
- A degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven track record working in a public relations role within a complex politically sensitive environment
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- A strong network of media contacts.
- Excellent project management skills.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
