The role reports directly to the Head of Accounting and Taxation and will see you maintaining month end consolidation, accounting for acquisitions, and supporting the wider business from a finance perspective. You will also play a key role in the year end audit to Group Statutory Accounts process over the 12-month period.
The role:
* Preparation of month-end and year-end consolidations.
* Conducting thorough intercompany matrix reconciliations.
* Managing month-end journal postings efficiently.
* Providing crucial support for SLT in accounting for acquisitions.
* Preparation of year-end disclosure packs
* Collaborating closely with the Head of Accounting & Taxation to navigate year-end audits and prepare consolidated accounts.
* Implementing IFRS16 lease accounting practices.
* Preparation of statutory accounts for head office entities.
* Driving performance improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency across the business.
The successful individual:
* Fully ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with several years PQE.
* Experience of Financial Reporting & Group Consolidations.
* Strong leadership, team and people management credentials.
* Technically astute with a keen eye for detail & analytical skills.
* A solid technical accounting background with experience of implementing and maintaining strict financial controls.
* The ability to build strong working relationships and influence senior leaders.
This role requires a self-motivated and focused individual who will quickly establish themselves as a key senior member of the group finance team. You will possess excellent technical accounting and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and support teams across finance coupled with building positive relationships with teams and leaders across the business.
