We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Internal Auditor, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail. The Internal Auditor will be responsible for assessing and improving our internal controls, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and mitigate risks.

Skills & experience
- A recognised professional qualification e.g. IIA, ICAEW, CIMA, which implies a thorough knowledge of the principles, procedures, and practices of accounting and financial records and transactions.
- Knowledge of audit procedures including planning, techniques, tests and sampling methods, and modern audit approaches e.g. risk-based auditing, process auditing, and systems improvement.
- An ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise verbal and written reports. An ability to establish and retain effective working relationships with ISH staff and to communicate clearly and effectively
Attributes
- Ability to commit to approximately 30 days per annum, with some flexibility.
- A commitment, understanding, and empathy with, the charitable sector.
- An understanding of ISH’s strategic priorities and goals.
- Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely; disseminates information about decisions and plans proactively.
Remuneration & Benefits
Hourly: £20-25.00 per hour; dependent on skills and experience
Contract: Permanent
Other Benefits: £2.75 meal allowance (when onsite)
