SalaryThe Position The purpose of the role is to support the business with all aspects of shipping and logistics in compliance with supply chain procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate, timely and cost- effective shipping of all equipment whilst adhering to standard operating procedures, applicable laws and QHSE Management systems.
Duties:
• Create delivery tickets / proforma invoices (including customs status, value, tariff codes for each item for equipment going out on offshore jobs).
• Providing CST to client’s logistics team, 48 hours before offshore job loadout.
• Prepare commercial invoice and packing list for freight going outside of the UK.
• Request quotes and arrange transport through our Freight Forwarders.
• Provide clearance instructions for Imports/Exports into the UK. • Chasing up for import and export paperwork from the Freight Forwarders.
• Ensuring all equipment movements are in accordance to load out list/manifest for jobs.
• Packing / Labelling of dangerous goods.
• Upkeep of Asset Management with respect to movements in and out of the base.
• Arrange for inspection and certification checks of CCU & other equipment hired
• General office duties – filing, scanning, and archiving etc.
• Packing/unpacking shipments, which will involve strapping, and wrapping.
Working in Logistics you may be required to work long and unpredictable hours during periods of high activity. Overtime will be paid for time outside normal working hours. You will also be part of an on-call rota.
Requirements:
• Customer friendly approach.
• Enthusiastic / self-motivated.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Logistics and Customs knowledge required.
• Dangerous Goods by sea – if not training will be provided.
• Occasional Manual handling required so must be physically fit
• Be proficient in excel and word and computer literate.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision software would be advantageous.
