The IT Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Infrastructure and Security team within the IT department, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the business's IT infrastructure. This includes managing servers, networks, storage, and hardware, ensuring scalability to meet evolving needs. The IT Operations Manager will also handle supplier relationships related to infrastructure and security services, collaborating closely with the IT team, especially the Service Desk Lead, to align efforts in achieving the IT strategy. The role will also heavily focus on executing the cybersecurity and operational effectiveness improvement plans.
Responsibilities of the IT Operations Manager:
- Align IT infrastructure with business requirements, translating organizational goals into infrastructure needs.
- Lead and develop a motivated team, setting performance objectives and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Oversee all aspects of IT operations, ensuring availability, reliability, and updates of infrastructure, applications, and cybersecurity measures.
- Develop and implement streamlined IT and cybersecurity policies to enhance productivity, security, cost savings, and customer experiences.
- Monitor and report on IT network and infrastructure performance, collaborating with departments to meet technology needs.
- Plan and execute IT projects aligned with strategic objectives, acting as change manager for the IT department.
- Manage vendor relationships for timely and cost-effective technology solutions.
- Monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents, investigating breaches and enhancing cybersecurity posture.
- Define and track the annual IT budget, ensuring strategic alignment and reporting on expenditures.
- Address IT risks, developing mitigation strategies to reduce adverse events.
- Provide occasional after-hours support for critical IT activities and security events.
Essential Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in IT infrastructure, networks, applications, and cybersecurity tools and technologies, consistently delivering exceptional outcomes through applied expertise.
- Experience successfully managing all areas of IT operations (infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications)
