A Technical Project Manager is required for our client based in Tameside for an initial 6 month contract. This is a hybrid position, 2-3 days per week on site (please only apply if you can commit to hybrid working).
The Project Manager will be looking at two areas;
- CRM system for frontline services – Building a business case and involvement in the procurement.
- Social care (children’s directorate) – technical solutions, how this area can be supported from a technical perspective.
As Technical Project Manager you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering software/hardware development projects according to specifications and deadlines, including tracking development activities. You will also be required to apply your knowledge of how technology and data can help underpin improved service delivery to reshape frontline services and workforce.
Identifying opportunities to invest in technology and develop robust business cases that outline the benefits and outcomes from the investment.
Experience required;
- Proven experience of delivering sizeable technical projects within a large or complex organisation.
- Experience of CRM projects
- Experience within the public sector – ideally within social care (children’s directorate advantageous)
- Experience of managing budgets, contract management and commissioning to ensure best value from a range of suppliers and delivery partners.
- Exposure to a variety of project environments including service redesign and IT systems development.
- Experience of leading the development and delivery of Digital programmes and commissioning approaches within a collaborative multi-agency environment.
- Experience of operational and performance management of staff.
- Strong understanding and significant application of a structured project management methodology in a digital context and how this supports successful delivery of projects.
- Can demonstrate project planning linked to a scope of work and requirements specification.
- Detailed understanding of the digital and technological landscape and how to apply digital solutions to modernise services.
- Clear understanding of change management principles, processes, and procedures through experience of working in a project environment of a large complex organisation undergoing change.
- Customer oriented with the ability to develop excellent working relationships with people at all levels.
